Angelina Jolie has announced that she went through a double mastectomy to reduce her chances of getting breast cancer. Jolie, who wrote a piece for the New York Times explaining her experience, says that her risk of breast cancer dropped from 87 percent to just five percent after the procedure. Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died of cancer in 2007. "I choose not to keep my story private because there are many women who do not know that they might be living under the shadow of cancer. It is my hope that they, too, will be able to get gene tested, and that if they have a high risk they, too, will know that they have strong options," wrote Jolie.

Fast food joints aren't the only restaurants serving lots of calories to their customers: according to University of Toronto researchers, meals from sit-down restaurants can have just as much or more calories than those of fast food restaurants. A meal at a sit-down restaurants averages 1,128 calories, compared to 881 at a fast food restaurant. The FDA suggests an average daily intake of 2,000 calories for adults.

Onil and Pedro Castro say they knew nothing about their brother's acts and hope that people will not associate them with his crimes. Onil Castro told CNN that he sees his brother "as a monster."

Kanye West flipped out at some paparazzi after he accidentally hit his head on a pole while trying to avoid being photographed. West was walking towards a restaurant with Kim Kardashian when he hit his head and yelled at the photographers to stop taking pictures.
