  • (Justin Sullivan/Getty) Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest in the U.S., has become the first in California to require elementary, middle and high schools to implement elements of the recently passed state law requiring the teaching of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender history in an effort to counteract continued bullying of LGBT students. Under the resolution, all schools must comply with the new rules within three months.
