I read about his on twitter. Seems interesting. I rather watch this than these dang movies these days.
Wow I would really llove
to see this and the education
in public schools these days
aren't good and it all depends on
how the teachers are how good and
fun they are and the children will
achieve
they dont suck well at least mine doesnt my history teacher last year was half dead and didnt care so think bout it
i went to public schools like most people in the US. and i actually went to a not so good school district and a good school district so i've seen them both ..one problem in any school district (well here in texas).. is that schools prepare you for standardized test and only that ..teachers will only show you enough stuff so that student will pass those test so both the school and teacher will get money...
alot of teachers are also not qualified to be teacher and a few dont want to be teacher so they just dont care
another BIG problem that this trailer actually mentions is confidence/self-esteem .. here in the US. we worry WAY TO MUCH about children self-esteem ...which alot of times is close to use-less... Dont get me wrong feeling good about yourself isnt bad but the US puts so much attention on making kids feel good about themselves when they arent doing good at all ...people see that successful people tend to have good self-esteem so they think that making student self-esteem high will make them successful and this has been very unsuccessful and in my opinion Dumb ... successful people have high self-esteem and confidence because they are successful...(interesting fact: criminals with life sentences have higher self-esteem then most colleges students)... and parents make this so much worse because they sue schools for making there kids "feel bad" for stuff like posting honor roles or because their kid was separated so that he could get extra help and the other kids made fun of them. which is soooo dumb
hey i was going to comment the exact same thing....when I went to school in the East (Pennsylvania and New Jersey) I think I learned more things other than to pass the standardized test, when I came to Texas I felt that I was blocked from learning a wide variety of things, and to back that up now that I am in college I learned that others feel the same way and now that we have made it out of the high school and having to go to school, we choose what we want to learn and now we know there is no limit to learning...Texas just makes students memorize information with out really learning the subject.
