Soon, but we want to take our time before we put out something new. We've already started the songwriting process, so we're hoping to have something out by 2011.

Her body. Hahah, no, that's not true. We've received lots of things, from paintings to a simple greeting. We appreciate all of it so much.

We recently played a club and then did a show at a national auditorium. We returned to the club to play a show dedicated to our fans and we left the show in really good spirits.
What has been your biggest failure as a professional? (from Los Arrocez)
I don't think we've had failures. You can commit errors or have albums that aren't as successful as others, but they aren't failures because they help you move forward and learn.
Has fame helped you in your personal lives? (from Los Arrocez)
We aren't really famous as individuals. The group and our music is well known, but as individuals we aren't. Sure, sometimes you'll get recognized in places and you'll get things like a better table a restaurant, but that's it.
¿On the song "Lo Que Tu Digas" why does Alfonso say "Chewbacca"? (from Jorgen)
It was a joke of sorts. What happened was that in the original version of the song we sampled, there was a part where I couldn't figure out what they are singing. It sounded like "Chewbacca" to me and since I'm a fan of Star Wars, I just threw it in there as a tribute.
I've always wanted to know why you call yourselves Moenia. What does it mean? (from ☠pxnxo#7☠)
We call ourselves Moenia, because we liked how the letters "O" and "E" look when they're fused together: œ. It's also a Latin word that means "wall" or "protection."
What is one of the coolest moments you've shared with a fan? (from KaroK)
Mmm, a while back, one of our super fans won a contest and her prize was a private concert. We got to play in her backyard! It was a really special moment for us.
What motivates you to stay together as musicians? (from aczire)
The fun that we have making music together. The day that we're not having fun is the day we'll stop working together to focus on other projects.

Es una broma que hice, lo que pasa es que en la versión original del disco solar hay un sampleo de voces que no entendió lo que decia y me sonaba a "Chewbacca" y como soy fan de Star Wars pues lo metí así… como un tributo. Jajaja.

Se llama así porque nos gusto y como se escribe con la "o" y la "e" fusionadas: œ se nos hizo original. Es una palabra en Latín que significa muralla o protección.

Mmm, hace no mucho a una súper fan que tenemos le toco ganar una promoción y el premio fue que dimos un concierto privado para ella en el jardín de su casa! Creo que eso si es muy especial.

How did you get to go to the World Cup in Germany four years ago?
We went because the Mexican soccer federation picked us to support the national team. We also got the chance to travel and sightsee, we ended up making friends that we still hang out with to this day.

It depends on the story, but with the experience that we have, we don't really worry. We don't have too much time to watch TV, but if something crosses the line and is an attempt to defame the band, we'll take necessary legal action.
How and why did you start using the "iiiuuu" call? (from lachubii_chubii)
We did a sketch with mun2 about our "iuuuu" call, hahaha. For years, we wanted to find something that people could identify us with: a word, a call, a gesture. We were brainstorming and then one of the sound engineers went to the bathroom. When he came out and opened the door, well, you can imagine... hahaha iiiuuuu! Gross!
That's not the real origin of it, though. In the ranches of Sinaloa, when people were herding cows, they would say "eeeepppp, iiuuuuuu vakaaaaa." That's where we got it from. That's the real history of it!

De chica joven en Long Beach NO viví la vida loca. Estaba muy enfocada en la escuela y era muy cuidada por mis hermanos. No tenía permitido hacer las cosas que hacían mis amigos. Sin embargo, me enseñaron a defenderme cuando se metían conmigo. Tenía puros diezes en la escuela y aparte era buena para los trancazos, en caso de que tuviera que defenderme.

No me peleo con otras cantantes. Simplemente me defiendo de cualquiera que ataca mi persona de alguna manera. He aprendido a ignorarlos. Admiro a cualquier mujer que la hace en la industria musical, especialmente cuando se atreven a ser diferentes a cualquiera. Lady GaGa es un ejemplo de "me vale madres, esta soy yo!" Y la admiro mucho por ello. Aparte de eso, tiene una voz poderosa, su música es pegajosa y es muy divertido bailarla.

Nunca me arrepiento de cantar una canción cuando esta se convierte en éxito. "Los Ovarios" es una canción que escribí desde mi interior. La escribí PARA MI, y no para nadie más. Creo que es conveniente para muchas personas pensar que la escribí para ellos y crear un alboroto y llamar la atención. ¿Entiendes? Me encanta la letra que escribí y me encanta cantarla en el escenario. Siempre recibo una gran respuesta de los fans también.

He escrito algunas canciones que han sido inspiradas por mis hijos, pero no se han grabado aún. Una canción que canto pero que no escribí es "Madre Soltera". Siempre la canto con mis hijos. Me conmueve y me recuerda de las dificultades de ser una madre soltera.

¿Yo un símbolo sexual? ¡Para nada! Hay muchas mujeres bellas que encajan mejor en esa descripción. Ha habido muchos artistas que han influenciado mi carrera como cantante, Lola Beltran, Rocio Durcal, Marisela, Chayito Valdez, Chelo. Pero definitivamente fui inspirada para ser gente de bien por la existencia de mis hijos. Haberlos tenido me empujó a querer ser mejor y darles una mejor vida.

As a young girl in Long Beach I did NOT live a vida loca. I was very focused in school and was much taken care of by my brothers. I was not allowed to do the things my friends did. However, I was taught to defend myself when girls messed with me. I was a straight A student and a great fighter when I had to defend myself.
Why are you always fighting with other singers? (from G+J=♥.)
I do not fight with the other singers. I merely defend myself from anyone who wants to attack me in any way. I've learned to ignore them though. However, its a fact that they may hate because I get so much attention form the press. So if they find a way to "get my attention" by talking "ish" what will they get? Exactly! Attention from the press. O sea, les conviene tener un problema conmigo. No more of that though, they will all be ignored.

I admire any female who makes it in the music industry especially when they dare top be different from anyone else. Lady Gaga is an example of "I don't give a f*** – this is me!" And I greatly admire her for that. Besides that, she has a powerful voice, her music is catchy and it's very fun to dance to.
Do you regret singing the song "Ovarios (Ovaries)"? (from SoNiA)
I never regret singing a song after its become a hit. "Los Ovarios" is a track that I wrote from down deep in my guts. I wrote it for ME, not for anyone else. I believe it was convenient for certain people to think I wrote it for them and then try to create a fight and get attention. Get it? I love the lyrics I wrote and I love performing it on stage. I always get a wonderful response from the fans as well.
Have your kids inspired any of your songs? (from {.Jr.})
I've written some songs that have been inspired by my children but have not recorded them as of yet. A song I perform but didn't write is "Madre Soltera." I always sing it for my kids. It touches my heart and and reminds me of the difficulties of being a single mother.

Contacted for doing corridos? I don't understand the question. Contacted by who? I have done all types of corridos: narco corridos, personal corridos, "back in the day" corridos. I have never had a problem because of it.

When people hate on me I feel happy. God promises that when people hate on us he will bless us more. So I basically look forward to the blessings! Keep on hating cause I LOVE it. When people hate on you it shows you just how important you really are.

If I could change a bad habit of mine, it would probably be to not be so impulsive. When I am impulsive and do not think twice about what I will say or do, it's very easy to put my foot in my mouth.

I think it would be a great for la Dinastia Rivera to do an album together. I actually think we owe it to out fans and will most likely begin working on it soon.

I feel WONDERFUL being a grandma. Do I feel old? In no way! I feel blessed, happy, and complete. I think I look great to be a grandmother. Women that feel old when they become a grandmother probably have self esteem issues. I don't. I simply ADORE my grandaughter.

Me a sex symbol? No way! There are so many beautiful women that can match that description. I think I am simply a woman that has proven that you don't have to be a size two to be successful in the music industry. I carry myself with confidence, I'm happy with myself and that may be sexy but I do not see myself as a sex symbol.

An English-language pop or R&B album? It really doesn't interest me at this time. I'm very content doing banda and mariachi (and maybe a balada album in Spanish).

There have been many artists that I can say have influenced my singing career: Lola Beltran, Rocio Durcal, Marisela, Chayito Valdez, Chelo. But I was definitely inspired to do good because of my children's existence. Having them pushed me to want to do better and give them a better life.

Marisol: Yes, we do listen to Bachata and all other types of music. Some of my favorite artist in particular would be Lady Gaga, Madonna, Banda Arrolladora and Banda El Recodo.

Claro que nos gusta actuar. Tenemos varios años que no hemos actuado en una película. Tuvimos una participación en la película " La Misma Luna" hace unos años pero si tenemos varias propuestas para hacer películas en el futuro, musicalmente y también en pantalla.

At that moment it was important to give a voice to the women who spent so many years in danger in the area of our country. We did it so we could open people's eyes and show them that there was someone out there who was willing to give them a voice to show their reality.
Why is Jorge the only one who wears a hat? (from aenddik9)
A few years back, all of us would use a hat. After the years went by, everyone wanted to express themselves differently. The hat remained with Jorge because he sings most of the corridos and the hat is a symbol of Norteño music. That's why it's still a part of Jorge's look.

Of course! It's been a few years since we came out in a movie. Most recently, we appeared in the movie La Misma Luna and we've also got a few projects in the works, both musically and on the big screen.

There's a big voice in little Allison Iraheta. Earlier this year, the crimson-haired 17-year-old wowed America with her sultry vocals on American Idol, where she finished in fourth place. For Latino fans of the Salvadoran-American Iraheta, it came as no suprise. In 2005, she was the winner of Telemundo's Quinceañera: Mamá Quiero Ser Artista.
We tracked down Iraheta, who is preparing her solo debut, and asked: "What's up?"
Do you listen to Latin music? What bands are you into?
Yes! La Ley, La Oreja de Van Goh, El Tri, Maná and so many more.
The judges often criticized what you wore when performing. How did you take it?
Instead of getting hurt about it, I laughed it off and took it in. It didn't bother me that much.
How did you feel about Simon's constant remarks about you being "boring?"
It never really got to me because deep down inside I knew I wasn’t boring…at all…
You've got a grown-up voice for such a young lady. Who influenced your singing?
Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, Heart and P!nk have definitely influenced me in so many ways.
You won a Telemundo reality show/singing competition a few years ago. Some people felt you should be disqualified from AI because of it.
I don’t see why I should have been disqualified since I wasn’t a signed artist. I was eligible like everyone else.
What are your post-American Idol plans?
I plan on finishing school and releasing my new album, Just Like You, which is in stores December 1.

Admiro mucho a Jenni como persona y como artista. Creo que es una gran luchadora y me identifico con esa forma de enfrentar la vida. En mi intención de comunicar el mensaje implícito en El Amor a todos los públicos no había mejor opción que grabar con Jenni para llegar a mis hermanos Mexicanos. Le agradezco mucho el haber aceptado mi invitación.
Tu estilo de música ha cambiado mucho a través de los años. ¿Porqué decidiste hacer reggaetón y merengue? (from marley-☆-)
Los cambios en mi música obedecen a una natural evolución. La humanidad evoluciona y los artistas no estamos exentos. Nuestra misión como artistas y entretenedores es la de comunicar un mensaje y la gente va cambiando su forma de asimilarlos. Si nos ajustamos a estos cambios nuestro trabajo se hace estéril. El reggaetón es mi esencia y me siento orgulloso de ello. Mi música siempre estará vinculada al reggeatón. Respecto al merengue, me gusta mucho y musicalmente es totalmente compatible con el reggeaton y fácil de fusionar.
¿Existe mucha tensión en la industria musical, entre los artistas con los que trabajas? (from Jя.)
No lo creo. Trato de mantenerme enfocado en mis orígenes y en mi condición simple de ser humano. Esto me ayuda como principio de vida a tratar a todos con respeto y dignidad. De esta manera, es casi imposible experimentar tensión. Primero somos personas y luego todo lo demás.

What made you record the song "El Amor" with Jenni Rivera? (from Musi-K)
I have lots of admiration for Jenni as a person and as an artist. I think that she is a great fighter and I identify with that way of facing life. It was my intention to communicate the implicit message in "El Amor" to an audience, and there was no better option than to do this with Jenni to reach my Mexican brothers and sisters. I am very grateful for her to have accepted my invitation.
Your musical style has changed throughout the years. Why did you decide to make reggaetón and Merengue? (from marley-☆-)
The changes in my music are part of a natural evolution. Humanity evolves and we as artists are not exempt. Our mission as artists and entertainers is to communicate a message and people have changed in the way they assimilate them. If we don't adjust to these changes our work becomes sterile. Reggaetón is my essence and I am very proud of it. My music has always been associated with reggaetón. As far as merengue goes, I like it a lot and musically it is totally compatible and easy to mix with reggaetón.
Is there a lot of tension in the musical industry, with the artists you work with? (from Jя.)
I don't think so. I try to stay focused in my origins and my condition as a simple human being. This helps me, as a life principle, to treat everybody with respect and dignity. This way, it is almost impossible to experience tension. We are persons first and then everything else.
