Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor called out a U.S. Attorney for what she said was racially charged questioning during a drug case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Sam Ponder asked a defendant, "You've got African Americans, you've got Hispanics, you've got a bag full of money. Does that tell you — a light bulb doesn't go off in your head and say, 'This is a drug deal?'" Sotomayor called the question "pernicious in its attempt to substitute racial stereotypes for evidence, and racial prejudice for reason."

The number of Latinos in the U.S. who identify as Catholic is continuing to drop, according to a new Gallup poll. An estimated 54 percent of Latinos in the U.S. now identify as Catholic, compared to 58 percent in 2008.

A hot air balloon crash in Egypt has killed 19 foreign tourists. "There were 20 passengers aboard. An explosion happened and 19 passengers died. One tourist and the pilot survived," said a spokesman for the hot air balloon operators.
