  • Apple is denying reports that its iPad 3 is overheating after various customers complained that the new iPad was running much warmer than previous versions of the tablet. A rep for Apple says the iPad 3 "operates well within its thermal specifications" and anyone experiencing issues should contact customer service.

  • The Department of Justice has opened an investigation into the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, a 28-year-old crime watch volunteer in Florida. In the three weeks after Martin's death, witness accounts and recently released 911 calls appear to contradict Zimmerman's claim of self defense, leading many people to question why Zimmerman was not arrested on the night of the shooting.

  • Charges of making threats and harassing phone calls have been dropped against "Teen Mom 2" star Jenelle Evans. She is still, however, in the middle of a back-and-forth legal dispute over cyber-stalking with her former boss.

  • Paulina Rubio and and Spanish tycoon Nicolas Vallejo-Najera known as Colate have officially petitioned for divorce and it is getting ugly. Both are fighting for custody of their baby boy and allegations of neglect are flying from both parties.

  • Paula Garces hit the beach to prepare for a new role in the ABC pilot "Devious Maids," which also stars Roselyn Sanchez, Dania Ramirez, Judy Reyes and America Ferrera. Garces has another reason to celebrate as her comic book series

  • Yesterday "Jersey Shore" star Mike Sorrentino aka checked into an inpatient treatment program.  Sources tell TMZ that Sitch had been showing signs of substance abuse for a while. MTV just announced "Jersey Shore" is returning for a 6th season ... which is scheduled to start shooting this summer.

  • No deaths and no major damage have been reported in Mexico after it was hit by a magnitude 7.4 earthquake on Tuesday. The quake, which was centered between the states of Oaxaca and Guerrero, was followed by 10 aftershocks. Mexican officials believe major damage was avoided due to improved bulding construction after Mexico's 8.0 earthquake in 1985.
