  • Poncho Lizárraga of Banda el Recodo will be out of commission for at least six months as he recovers from injuries suffered in last week's tour bus accident. Poncho's injuries, which include internal bleeding that led to swelling in his right leg, do not require surgery.
  • San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro and First Lady Michelle Obama weren't the only stars of last night's DNC: Castro's three-year-old daughter, Carina, stole the show in just a matter of seconds when she realized she was on camera.

  • Griselda Blanco, the Colombian woman who became known as the "Queen of Cocaine" in the 1970s, was killed in a drive-by-shooting in Medellin, Colombia. The 69-year-old Blanco began exporting cocaine into the U.S. before Pablo Escobar and the Medellin cartel and spent time in a U.S. prison before returning to Colombia.
