  • America, something scary is crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, and it's not undocumented immigrants. Chupacabras? Ghosts? Zombies? The trailer for the new horror movie, Cinco de Mayo, will leave you guessing.
  • Comedian Hasan Minhaj has released a video schooling Ashton Kutcher and Popchips explaining why "brown-face" is offensive. In a recent ad for Popchips, actor Ashton Kutcher impersonated an Indian male by using a heavy accent and donning dark brown face make-up. The ad was soon pulled and an apology was issued by Popchips CEO Keith Belling.
  • "I did feel like there was nothing else left for me to do, but protect my child," says Chelisa Grimes, a mother who gave her son a stun gun to fend off bullies. Her son, Darnell Young, faces expulsion after he brought the stun gun to school to scare off bullies after school administrators took no action to stop it.

  • The American Psychiatric Association is currently debating whether it should rename the term "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" to "Post Traumatic Stress Injury" so soldiers will be more willing to come forward get diagnosed. Some observers believe that soldiers currently see PTSD as admitting "weakness," which makes them less likely to seek treatment.

  • D'Avonte Meadows, a first grader from Colorado, was supsended for three days last week after singing LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" to a female classmate. The boy's suspension notice claimed he was guilty of "sexual harassment."
  • More than 40 percent of Americans will be obese by the year 2030, according to a study by Duke University. An estimated 36 percent of Americans are currently obese. The obesity rate for Latino adults is currently at 39.1 percent compared to non-Hispanic white adults (34.3 percent) and non-Hispanic black adults (49.5).

  • For her "provocative, different and unprejudiced" campaign, Mexican Congressional candidate Natalia Juárez has posed semi nude. Juárez, who belongs to the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), says the campaign is an "invitation for people to reveal who they are and commit themselves."

  • Dr. Franklin Chang-Diaz has become the first Latino inductee into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. In 1986 he became the first Latino in space and has since made six trips.
