President Obama has extended his lead over Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney with Latino voters, according to a new poll by Latino Decisions. Obama's lead grew to 70 percent from 66 percent in June.

A Latina immigrant is the highest paid actress in Hollywood: the "Modern Family" star tops Forbes' highest-paid actresses in Hollywood list. Vergara, who recently turned 40, made an estimated $19 million between May 2011 and May 2012. Vergara was followed by Kim Kardashian ($18 million) and Eva Longoria ($15 million).

Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is in hot water after he was arrested for allegedly hitting his mother during an argument. During a 911 call 37-year-old Angela D. Bryant can be heard saying that Dez "tried to kill" her. If convicted of assault with bodily injury, Bryant faces up to one year in prison. Bryant could still face disciplinary action from the NFL if he is cleared of criminal charges.
