The Vatican has announced that Pope Benedict XVI will get to keep his name and will be recognized as pope emeritus. Benedict, who is the first pope to resign in more than 600 years, will now wear brown shoes instead of red shoes (which symbolize the blood of martyrs). Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi noted that Benedict will wear shoes that he recieved as a gift in Mexico: "Mexicans will be happy to know that the pope very much appreciated the shoes. He finds them very comfortable."

Daddy Yankee and Romeo Santos rocked this year's Viña Del Mar festival in Chile, taking home plenty of trophies, including the Gaviota de Plata y Gaviota de Oro. El Cangri and Romeo shared the stage with acts like Maná, Miguel Bosé and Chino y Nacho.
