The U.S. Department of State has set up a text message system to collect donations for victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti. Donate $10 to the Red Cross by texting “HAITI” to “90999”.

Donations to the International Response Fund can also be made by phone at 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish) and online at www.redcross.org or www.cruzrojaamericana.org.

Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush have created the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, a charity that will donate 100 percent of donations received to the people of Haiti. Donate now at www.clintonbushhaitifund.org.

I also donated to red cross via text. The unfortunate reality of that is that they aren't going to see that money in Haiti right away, it will be at least 30 days because it comes out of your next cell phone bill. However, every little bit helps.
