Even Lady Gaga, Jamy's idol, spoke out on Twitter: "I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it." Police have opened an investigation to determine whether to charge three students in particular with harassment, cyber-harassment or hate crime charges.

Senators Dick Durbin of Illinois and Michael Bennet of Colorado are kicking off their segment of a DREAM "Sabbath" between Sept. 23-25 in an effort to raise awareness about the DREAM Act with the help of interfaith leaders. The national "Dream Sabbath" began last Sunday Sept. 18. and is being led by various faith leaders and students who are hoping to build an organized interfaith effort to urge state and national leaders to support the DREAM Act.
