Kat Von D and Jesse James have called off their engagement and
split up after a year together. Kat Von D, who began dating James after his public breakup with actress Sandra Bullock, issued a statement on Twitter: "I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I'd like to share. Thanks for respecting that." James
responded: "I'm so sad because I really love her."
Latinos across the country have been
hit harder than any other group by the U.S. economic downturn, according to a new report. The net worth of U.S. Latino households dropped by 66 percent in the past five years, compared with a 16 percent drop for white households. African-American houehold worth dropped by 53 percent. The huge gap in wealth between whites, Latinos and African Americans represents a 25-year high.

Arizona officials have set up a Kickstarter-like donation fund to
pay for a border fence with private donations. Organizers within the state legislature say the fund will allow people fed up with immigration problems to contribute personally to a solution.
